R454B

R454B (Opteon™ XL41) is a low GWP hydrofluoro-olefin (HFO) based refrigerant replacement for R410A in new equipment.

R454B provides one of the lowest GWP alternatives available (466) of all near-drop-in solutions with a reduction of 78% compared to R410A. In addition to that, it is a very close match to R410A and in some cases even provides superior performances with respect to capacity and efficiency.

Classified as mildly flammable (A2L), R454B allows for a much higher charge size than other flammable refrigerants and can be safely used by following the applicable codes and standards.
